Why

A four-member band performing on a stage with a large, colorful geometric mural projected on the screen behind them. The band includes piano, keyboard, drums, and guitar players, all in silhouette against the bright projection.

Music, and art in general, possesses an inherent ability to redeem and uplift. When experienced in the right environment, and with the right intention, it can ignite a process that transforms lives. This transformative power can guide individuals, and consequently society, towards the highest states of cohesion, mutual understanding, and an appreciation of the diveristy of human experience.

I believe music has the potential to encapsulate the entirety of the cosmos; that which is both subjectively and objectively perceptible. It contains everything while maintaining its unique identity—simultaneously discrete and all-encompassing.

Stemming from these beliefs, I remain engaged in all things musical; this includes performing, thinking, writing, researching, composing, teaching, listening, curating and speaking about music. Music is the driving force behind all of my interactions with the world around me.
